The Hoops wideman is still struggling with a hamstring injury but manager Neil Lennon is hoping he will be fit for the Champions League clash with Milan, also at Celtic Park, on Tuesday.
Defenders Adam Matthews (collarbone) and Steven Mouyokolo (Achilles) remain sidelined.
Aberdeen are without former Celtic midfielder Barry Robson through suspension but boss Derek McInnes has no fresh injury worries after the international break.
Dons defender Clark Robertson is still out after a knee injury, and striker Josh Magennis (knee) played an U20 midweek game but was withdrawn after 12 minutes as a precaution.
Another former Celt Willo Flood (hamstring) misses out with the injury he sustained against Hearts.
