Aberdeen v St J'stone preview

Steve Banks: Will keep goal for Saints at Tynecastle on Saturday

Veteran keeper Steve Banks has been called into action by St Johnstone who face Aberdeen in Saturday's League Cup semi-final at Tynecastle.

The 41-year-old replaces first choice Alan Mannus who is out for six weeks after breaking a thumb.

The Northern Irishman would not have been available anyway, as he had not yet completed his two-game ban following his recent sending-off against Hearts.

Chris Iwelumo could make his Saints debut but defender Tam Scobbie is suspended while midfielder Murray Davidson and striker Steven McLean both remain sidelined with knee injuries.

Jason Holt and Jamie Walker remain long-term casualties.

Aberdeen could give on loan defender Shaleum Logan his debut while Ryan Jack faces up to two months on the sidelines due to a hip injury.

Clark Robertson remains an absentee while Joe Shaughnessy is suspended.
